Leia Hunt

Leia T. Hunt is a two-time childhood cancer survivor who was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer, at just two years old. After undergoing 26 surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation that left her blind in one eye, Leia’s battle inspired her to make a difference. At 18, she founded Leia’s Kids, a non-profit organization supporting families facing childhood cancer. Her journey has inspired many as she continues to advocate for pediatric cancer research and awareness. She is a dynamic and passionate speaker.

In addition to leading Leia’s Kids, Leia is a speaker, author, podcast host, and mental health advocate. She collaborates with organizations like the American Cancer Society and Eye Tumor Research Foundation, and advocates for pediatric cancer awareness at the state and federal levels, including speaking at the White House for the Cancer Moonshot initiative. With a degree in Elementary Education, Leia uses her knowledge to connect with young minds, empowering them through education and her cancer advocacy efforts.
